One was India's rising star. The other, Australia's cold, unreachable captain. Abhishek Sharma never imagined sharing a jersey with Pat Cummins, let alone a connection deeper than the ocean between them. But fate-and the IPL-had other plans. ~~~~~~~ He was the captain. Calm. Collected. Completely out of my league. And yet, I couldn't stop wondering what his hands would feel like without the gloves. Pat Cummins-Australia's golden boy. The man India loved to hate. And the one who now shared my team, my air. We weren't supposed to want each other. But wanting turned into watching. And watching turned into touching.👀

I didn't expect to see him on the race tracks, dressed in his khakis and Burberry sunglasses. "Ajooni." He called out and I froze at the familiar voice. I couldn't believe my ears as I turned to look at almost 6 feet of swagger walking towards me. "Shubh?" I said, as his lips curled in a smile that took my breath away. "What are you doing here in Delhi?" He said, and I felt like I was in his lawn stepping over his mother's seedlings of coriander all over again. "I... I... was..." I stutter as his smile broadened, the surprise settling in. "Are you nervous?" "I am here because one of their horses had colic and needed emergency surgery." I say taking a deep breath and bringing my wits about to myself. "Yes, you wanted to become a doctor. Congrats, Dr. Ajooni Randhawa." He said, as I smiled. "And you wanted to become a cricketer. Congratulations for that... Mr. Shubman Gill."
