Cedric Mintz is from District 14, the only district that isn't allowed to participate in the Hunger Games due to it's only purpose, being ready to repopulate the earth if it is ever necessary. The District only has males and sending in two boys would be unfair to the rest of the districts seeing as most boys in that District have a strong bond and would team up. When Cedric's name is pulled he and the rest of the boys are thrilled. Cedric is an extremely attractive boy who seems charming, enthusiastic, and naive when in reality he's already planned six different ways to bury your body. Even better, he planned on going into the games even if his name wasn't chosen. He wants to be there, but why? (This story had blood, murder, and if you know the Hunger games at all then you know. Also, this is following the movies so dear Hunger Game readers I'm sorry for ruining it. I wrote this because we don't have a single Male OC Hunger Games story and I think that is stupid! However, he also had good days, when he could spend time with his friends and live happily, normally. On one of his bad days though, he finds a white bunny with a nametag reading 'Sam' wrapped around it's neck. It was an accident, surely, probably part of Stress's shenanigans. Probably just a coincidence that the handwriting spelling the name looked like someone else's... someone from Grian's past. But Grian wasn't thinking of what it probably was when he ran. But it turns out, running has consequences. OR Samgladiator joined the game A YHS/Hermicraft fanfic, involves very mild Grumbo shipping but you can read it as purely platonic if that's what you want. Trigger warnings are: death (not permadeath), knives, stabbing, abuse, fighting, manipulation, PTSD, Sam being Sam, blood and general angsty stuff. Don't worry though, it has a happy ending! Also yes my front cover and chapter titles are very imaginative. Word count: approx 10200
