SYNOPSIS:

As the afternoon haze touched my senses, my thoughts were drowned by the presence of the person beside me, who had an arrogant grin plastered on his lips. The cold breeze blew through his hair gracefully, emphasizing his perfectly sculpted face which I adored most. His eyes held a glimmer of something indescribable, as if he were the happiest man in the world at that moment. He laughed-which made something tug within the deepest parts of my heart...

And when he looked me straight in the eye, my demons instantly vanished, and the rhythm of my soul calmed.

-

While gazing at the various hues painted across the afternoon sky, I grinned as I recalled a memory from the past-a childhood souvenir deeply engraved in my soul, a priceless and golden treasure to be preserved and remembered in the heart. I chuckled when I realized that treasure was already by my side, sulking. Wearing a deep frown and pouting her lips endearingly, my smile grew wider as I heard her grumbling.

And when I glanced at her, the raging storm within me tranquilized, and I was finally at home.

With each raindrop, I always look up and smile. Each time thunder competes with lightning and lightning proves how undethronable the power it holds is, I can't help but be mesmerized, especially when the main event steals the show by making a colorful entrance. The rainbow. I found these performances of atmosphere soothing and remarkable, and I could give you my word that I wasn't losing my mind. I'm certain of that. It's just that... Rain reminds me of those days. Those magical moments I had. That did happen every time the sky released its emotions. I still remember when I spent all my firsts with him. The first time we met, the first time I ran to him, the first time his lips crashed onto mine, the first time I confessed, the first time we fought, the first time I cried, the first time I woke beside him, and the first time we said our first thank yous to each other. All of those firsts were with him, and strangely, but mind-blowingly, the skies were gray, being highlighted by mixing fast lights. And from that moment on, I said to myself, the rain will stop, but my heart will always belong to that person. My umbrella against the heavy downpour of life. But then she kicked in. My rainbow. I realized suddenly that, in the midst of the misty rain, the umbrella that got left behind would find its way out. To reach for her. To walk down a new path toward the future with nothing else in mind but the bliss of finally getting his prize. He could now run to me and whisper, "The rain stops, Yuri. I'm here now". Bawat kirot ay may katumbas na paghihiganti. Yes, every pain demands a payback. That's the first thing I learned when I loved him. Not consciously, not right away-but slowly, in pieces. He taught me how to love. His love was wildfire-reckless, consuming, beautiful in the way it ruined everything. I thought I was lucky to have it. I thought he saw something in me. Maybe he did. Maybe he saw the parts that were already breaking. He taught me how to bend the rules, how to silence the voice in my head that said "this isn't right." With him, right and wrong blurred until they didn't matter. Until all that mattered was staying close enough not to lose him, but distant enough not to drown. And then came pain. He taught me pain in a thousand unspoken ways. In words that stung more than silence. In apologies that came too late. In touches that lingered with regret. And pain... And pain. Again and again No fairy tale. No forever. It was never about soulmates. It was just... a story. A complicated, messy, painful story. But still, I gambled. I bet my heart on something that didn't deserve it. And in the end, that so-called love? It destroyed me. It didn't just break me-it broke everything I cared about. Everyone I loved. It burned through every soft thing I had left inside me. Because that love... Was disastrous. Behind the illusion of love hid everything I was afraid of: pain, betrayal, lies, manipulation. A heartbreak wrapped in promises. A knife dressed like a kiss. But here's what no one tells you: after heartbreak comes something sharper. Stronger. Revenge. And revenge-it's not sweet. It's not cold. It's best served hot. The kind of heat that doesn't ask for closure. It takes it. I, who was a he, now turned into a she. I will serve pain out of pain. Not to mirror the cruelty, but to remind the world: You don't get to hurt someone like me and walk away unburned.
