In a fractured world of ancient ruins and advanced technology, humanity lives alongside creatures known as Altereds. For centuries, the Dominion Empire has ruled through fear, conquest, and control, born from the ashes of the Great Altered War. Now, a group of rebels called the Sunset Crusaders are willing to burn the world for freedom.

Because "Freedom is built on sacrifices."

Follow Gaya and the Sunset Crusaders as they fight their way across the empire, uncovering the truth behind her family's history, the lost origins of their world, and the terrifying secret hidden beneath the kingdom of Veleria. But as betrayal tears the rebellion apart and war consumes everyone around them, they begin to realize that the greatest threat to their survival may not be the empire at all.

It may be themselves.

Friends become traitors. Heroes become monsters. Love turns into grief. And every sacrifice drags them closer to becoming the very thing they swore to destroy.

This is a fast-paced sci-fi fantasy story told through multiple POVs, giving each character their own voice, struggles, and perspective on the fractured world they live in. One chapter may follow a grieving rebel leader. The next, the empire's broken emperor. Another, the traitor who destroyed the only family he ever had.

At its heart, this is a story about found family, longing, love, betrayal, and the cost of survival in a dying world.
