Jace Wilder lives in the bones of a world that most left behind. Gatlinburg, Tennessee-once a tourist trap in the mountains-is now a stubborn outpost of rust, memory, and moonshine. Alongside his childhood friend Cade Sutton, Jace scrapes by salvaging space junk in a patched-up shuttle, hunting for parts the Martian markets missed. It's not glamorous, but it's home.
When an abandoned ship streaks past them in orbit-sleek, ancient, and completely out of place-their quiet life fractures. There's no crew, no records, and no reason it should exist. As Jace digs deeper, trying to keep his struggling business afloat and his small crew paid, he finds signs of something bigger: black market tech, rival scrappers getting bolder, and a mysterious energy signature near Mars that no one wants to talk about.
Now the question isn't whether they can sell the ship.
It's whether they were meant to find it at all.
A space-western drenched in nostalgia, grit, and neon moonlight, Old Earth Hustle is a story about loyalty, survival, and the things we leave behind-even when we never meant to.

I Don't Seem So Bright in a Well-Lit Room, écrit par Sean_Browning

"This book speaks to anyone with a neurodivergent brain, that may feel like an alien here on earth. I swear Browning made me laugh and cry and question reality...sometimes all in the same sentence." -JD Todd, author The universe is a very strange place. It will take even stranger heroes to save it. Potto is dim-witted, extremely forgetful and incredibly naïve. He wasn't always this way. Aye-Aye is devilishly shrewd and has boozed his way into a comfortable existence of incompetence and sleaze. How they ended up being two of the most wanted aliens in the galaxy is anyone's guess. Chased down by every oddball bounty hunter in the known universe, and befriended by a libidinous assassin, a fire-breathing reptilian, and a telepathic tree, their misadventures take them past Earth (the mall planet), to a floating sex circus, a planet of killer stuffed animals, an underground spaceship impound lot, and to a planet of reasonably priced bungalows. All while flying around in a ship powered by the brain waves of a psycho killer. A great prophecy proclaims that only "one of light, and one of dark" can save the universe from the dictatorship of The Node. That can't be Potto and Aye...Potto doesn't know what the word prophecy means, and neither know how to spell it. Part sci-fi epic, part absurd dark comedy, I Don't Seem So Bright in a Well-Lit Room is a comment on human behavior, depression, anxiety, and self-esteem. But way more fun than that sounds. So, do up your space seatbelts...it's going to be a bumpy ride. Despite the lack of potholes in space. (Sci-fi /Dark Humour/Absurd) *Completed! Enjoy! The Debt Collectors War, écrit par TessMackenzie

Ellie is a soldier in a world without governments. A generation ago, a series of financial crises caused most of the world’s governments to collapse, and left many of the people in those countries in terrible personal debt. Since then, the worst debtor nations have been under military occupation by the troops of the debt recovery corporations, and the worst debtor of all is Měi-guó, the old United States. Ellie is serving in the Afghan Police Action when she receives bad news from home. She is told the daughter she hasn’t seen in years is dead. She flies home from war, upset, to do what needs to be done, but once there she finds out all is not as it seems. Ellie’s daughter is alive and unhurt. She is being held by of one of the many debt-recovery corporations. Held, for leverage, to make Ellie do the corporation a favour. Ellie’s daughter will be returned unharmed if Ellie does as they wish. The son of a company director is lost somewhere in the wilderness of post-debt-restructuring America, and hasn't been seen for three days. The company wants Ellie to go and find the kid, and Ellie doesn't know if she can. The one rule she's stuck to all her working life is to never to go to America, but now she might have to. She will have to, if she wants to save the daughter she hasn't seen in years. This is fairly dark and gritty near-future dystopian SF. ----- Debt Collectors War is now on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QZG1RHI/ Also on iTunes and B&N and other places. Just if that's easier to read that way! But please don't feel obliged or anything, and thank you for looking -----

A dystopian thriller that evolves into a violent sci-fi nightmare with hints of monster (very) dark romance. --------- Alice has a good life: a great job, a cozy, paid-off apartment, and a loving husband. She also has an oppressive government, a war-torn city, and general social decay around her, and what seems to be an alien invasion, though nobody is willing to admit it. You know, the kind of things that can really throw a wrench into a morning commute. She should have left a long time ago, but right or wrong, it's her country. What's the worst that could happen? No, seriously, what's literally the worst? ------ It starts as my lightest and most melancholic work, but will end up the heaviest -- expect constantly rising tension as we go from moody dystopia into politics and philosophy into bdsm and violence, and into... oh well, read it. Overarching themes: evolution, adaptation, duty, freedom, metal music. The first 10 chapters are a clean, dystopian, political story. From 11th chapter on, wheels come off. I tried to make it sound universal; still, you can figure out approximately when I had it first outlined. Warnings (from chapter 11 on): violence, attempted SA, dubcon, smut. ----------- If you are reading this story on any other platform other than Wattpad you are very likely to be at risk of a malware attack. [Tsundere x Reader] One second she was just a simple nurse, tending to her patients and doing her job. Just another Tuesday as she would say. Then the next she dies and wakes up to drug-addicted, violent, and bloodthirsty people (if she can even call them people) attacking her fellow colleagues and anyone who wasn't infected by a strange drug called TAP. (Y/N) gets unwillingly connected to the horrid and mishandled experiments of the large pharmaceutical company known as Satellite and is forced to put up with the rude and immature Drake Blackwell who becomes her bodyguard. She becomes an asset to the company and potentially the answer for all of the harm that Satellite has created. And all it took was a bullet to the head. #1 in scifihorror 9/3/2023 #1 in tsunderxreader 9/24/2023 - I don't own cover art - Minor grammatical errors - Mature Audiences Started: August 2, 2023 Ended: October 29, 2023
