Blackwater

The sun hung low over Blackwater Hollow,

bleeding orange and gold across the sky,

stretching the shadows of pine trees long over the sleepy town square.

The air smelled of damp earth and woodsmoke,

the last remnants of autumn clinging to the wind.

In the heart of the Hollow,

where the werewolf pack gathered most evenings,

the world moved slow and warm,

like honey dripping from a spoon.

Hi. Thanks for giving my story a chance. I really don't have a plot for this one in mind, just some general directions I know I'll head in. So if you find yourself caring about a character, comment some feedback so I can know to write more about them.

Honesty, I'm writing this more out of frustration than anything else. I know what I want to see in a werewolf book, and I'm not finding it out there, so that's why I'm doing it myself.
