Law school certainly isn't easy, but Eleana could argue that it's relatively predictable. Read, go to class, pray that she doesn't get cold called, obsessively do her outlines, ace her exams, and generally outperform everyone else. At least, that's the plan. It's been the plan since she was nineteen. She'd gone into undergrad accepting that being an accounting major was the safest route, the most effective route. But, after sitting in on a sports law seminar, that carefully planned future as a CPA was completely forgotten. Sports law was her new goal, and it's a goal that she's almost finished seeing through as she finishes her 1L year at the University of Denver and steels herself for the beginning of her dream internship as the legal intern for a NHL team - specifically, the Colorado Avalanche. However, for all of the vision boards and Excel spreadsheets and carefully constructed five-year-plans that Eleana has drawn up, there's one variable that she didn't account for: Nathan Hill. Turns out, love isn't always covered in the standard contract, and a certain handsome forward didn't come up during discovery.

"You can't be serious?" I stare at him in disbelief, blinking as I notice there isn't any sign of a lie. "Why would I marry you? I mean I see your benefits, there's nothing in it for me." "I have something you want, you know that. You're just to stubborn to realise it." He shrugs, slouching in his desk chair. "What do you have? A bad reputation?" "Money, you and I both know just how much you need it right now." He says, staring back at me but not in disbelief. He's fully serious about this. ------ Gianna Rose Rowell hasn't had the best start in life, by the looks of it, things aren't changing. She grew up poor, someone close to her is ill. She has student debt bills, rent months overdue and now doctors bills to pile on top of that. Working as an assistant for a hockey player doesn't exactly help that either. Aiden Bennett is privileged, he always has been. Unlike Gianna he has grown up with money. Unfortunately for his parents, he didn't want their lifestyle, which to them didn't matter. He inherited the company and had his side thing. Hockey. Put the pressure gets to him and he turns to other means to distract him. Marriage of convenience trope.
