She makes new friends, discovers feelings she's never felt before, and tries to keep a secret that if known to everyone, or rather, one specific person... would mean her death. Can she keep her secret? Will she live? This story is written in first person and present tense. A fanfiction based on Rebecca Yarros's novel and series Fourth Wing from the Empyrean series. Most characters and the world are by Rebecca Yarros, but a couple of characters are created by me. It is recommended that you read Fourth Wing and Iron Flame before reading this, but this may also be read without reading those books. This fanfiction was written before Onyx Storm came out, so some theories might be incorrect. Nevertheless, enjoy! Also available on AO3(Archive of Our Own)Complete

She would make it her life's goal to see General Sorrengail, along with General Melgren, dead. However, that particular moment would have to wait. In the mean time, she needed to find Xaden. He would be a second year by the time she crossed the Parapet, and she would make it her mission to find Xaden and become his ally at Basgiath War College. She would give her life for his, as for he had done far more for her than she deserved. She would become as loyal to him as a dog to its owner. This book is a fan fiction of Rebecca Yarros' Empyrean series. It takes place one year before fourth wing, I plan to make books that follow the series. So there should be five more after this one, six in total. All characters and storyline belong to RY, besides Skyla Whitlock and some added characters that I made up due to when and where this book takes place. Please enjoy and feel free to criticize and critique my writing. The pictures on the cover are all from Pinterest, none are mine.

She becomes aware of the fact that she is living in the Empyrean Series and still holds the previous May Melgren's memories. Having no choice but to enroll in the Riders Quadrant, she sets out to protect the characters she so cared for. ______ "What did you wish for?" I ask him. "Isn't the point of a wish to only be heard by the gods?" He counters, with a cunning smile. "I guess that's true, sorry, I just got curious." I look down at my feet as we enter inside the citadel and walk to the dorms. "It's fine, maybe after it comes true, I'll tell you." "Okay but that's a promise, right?" We reach the front of the door. "Sure." A small chuckle passes through his lips. ______ Disclaimer: The characters and plot belong to Rebecca Yarros. My original characters and scenes belong to me. Echos of Blood: Shadows and Scars
Auren Riorson has always walked a fine line-between shadow and steel, between survival and something more. Trained as a Rider, secretly drawn to healing, and bonded with a dangerous bloodwielding power, she can control blood itself-either to save or to destroy. Stepping into Basgiath War College, Auren finds herself back in the chaos: brutal training, cutthroat politics, and dragons circling overhead, their roars shaking the stone halls. With her loyal best friend Liam by her side and her older brother Xaden looming over every move, she has to keep her wits sharp. Because in this world, one wrong step could mean death-or worse. But graduating the war college isn't the only danger. Venin hunters, wyverns with razor-sharp teeth, and enemies hiding in plain sight are closing in. And as the stakes rise, Auren will have to face her family's deadly past, master the terrifying power she was bound with, and figure out if loyalty and love are worth the risk when everything could be ripped away in a heartbeat. ------------ if you haven't already read the Fourth Wing series... like, what are you even doing with your life?? 😂 go give rebecca yarros all the love because it's honestly one of the best series i've ever read. this fic is obviously inspired by her world, but for me it's turned into a story about love, friendship, found family, and especially the bond between siblings. a lot of it follows the storyline from fourth wing / iron flame / onyx storm, but i've changed up some of the characters, a few signets, and since onyx storm just came out-anything beyond that is just my own theories and imagination making it my own thing. and hey, if it's not your vibe... totally fine. don't read it, I'm sure there are sooo many other good ones out there! 🖤 and nooo i'm not telling you who Auren's romance arc is-you'll just have to keep guessing 👀Complete

It drives a dagger in between their friendship, and their partnership. And now, they're sequestered together on a quest, along with Kate's husband, and her ex-boyfriend with feelings she's remembering.Complete
Black Sapphire | Xaden Riorson | H/H
Every year, swaths of 20-year-olds descend upon a college campus. Unfortunately, this college specializes in war, in consideration of the one raging at its borders. Outposts and enemies line the eastern mountains, guarded by many from the army, but most notably, the Dragon Riders. (Y/N)'s future was determined long before he was born. As far as he was concerned, none of that destiny included Basgiath; not after he watched his grandfather descend into mad ramblings from his battles after bonding a dragon, then fell to the whims of a power-hungry Colonel who would do anything to hurt him. The quadrant destroyed the good and empowered the bad, and he wanted nothing to do with it, no matter what his name spelled. Xaden Riorson's future was clear, no Basgiath or dragons in sight. That was, until he was 16, when his father's apostasy-turned-secession fell apart; his home was burned; and his father went missing, only to be reported by someone he thought was an ally, then murdered. Unfortunately for both of them, Basgiath wouldn't let them off so easily. Xaden had a two year head start and became a Wingleader, ready-and willing-to sacrifice anything to fulfill his goals. Some may call them selfish and many call him ruthless, but he's no stranger to prescribed titles. (Y/N) stood before the bridge, but he had no intention of making it across. His ruined future and unstable life would be given to a cause much more worthy than the torture of Basgiath: his mother, his father, and his patron: Zihnal, the God of Chaos. *HE/HIM* [Book 1 of 2]Complete
Trouble With a Crown
Darilynn Riorson has spent her entire life in the shadow of her brother-the infamous rebellion heir, Xaden Riorson. When she turns twenty and is conscripted to Basgiath War College, she knows one truth for certain: the Riders Quadrant doesn't forgive weakness. Armed with a sharp tongue, a few equally chaotic friends, and a rebellious streak to rival her brother's, Darilynn is determined to carve her own legacy-not as someone's sister, but as a rider who earns her place in the sky. But Basgiath is more than a school; it's a crucible of secrets where death waits behind every parapet step and trust is rarer than dragonfire. Then there's him-the hidden crown prince of Navarre, living under a false name. Cold, calculated, and infuriatingly untouchable, he embodies everything Darilynn swore to hate. Their rivalry burns hotter than dragonfire... until battle lines blur and sparks ignite something far more dangerous. As war looms and ancient magic stirs beneath Basgiath's walls, Darilynn must decide what-and who-she's willing to fight for. Because surviving the year might not be enough. Not when the truth could burn down the kingdom... and the one person she can't afford to lose. All rights to Rebecca Yarros, I only own my OC's Fem OC x Male OC
TwinBorn / Fourth Wing
Aveline Sorrengail. The one some wished to be, and the one others never wanted to meet. Trained since childhood, bruised, beaten and bloodied, she always succeeded. Whether that was through strength, or pure anger, no one knew. She was meant to be a rider, and everyone knew it. To protect her dear sister wouldn't be much of obstacle right? Nor would the marked ones be much of an issue in the quadrant, no matter how much they hated her mother. She wasn't just going to remove any obstacles in her way. She was going to obliterate them. DISCLAIMER! I do not own fourth wing, or any of the characters written by the rightful author, Rebecca Yarros, only my own characters. This is just my adaptation of the story.
Forgotten princess (Bodhi Durran)
Heyy so there WILL be spoilers for Fourth wing, Iron flame and Onyx storm so if you haven't read them, I wouldn't recommend reading this quite yet! but of course, come back when you're finished. This is set a year before violet shows up (yes, I will go that far into the story, and she will still be in the story) During the Aretia Battle right before the execution of Tyrish rebellion, Fen Riorson and a bunch of other members of the rebellion flew to the kingdom of Vaelryn (Who were allies to Navarre) and burnt the city to ash leaving nothing left, except.... Arabella D'Amore is the princess and 7th heir to the valairyn throne. King Solias and Queen Casara lived in the public eye and were known for being 'perfect'. They had a perfect government, 'perfect' marriage and 'perfect' kids. But only very few knew what actually happened in that castle for they were anything but perfect, but they sure tried. If a single kid twitched or faltered their smile, they would get a major punishment such as a whip to the back or a beating till you would bleed. Arabella being the youngest or the 'runt' in the family she would get picked on or beaten by her siblings and parents the most. Her oldest brother/heir to the throne was her savior. He would teach her how to fight and ward off her siblings whenever he could. After the kingdom was sent in flames Arabella somehow was left by Fen Riorson and was finally rid of her cruel family... but her brother who she watched get scorched by Fen Riorsons dragon was the only person she loved. He was gone and she had nowhere to go so off into the streets of Navarre she went where she learned to kill and steal and train. She saw conscription day forms and signed up as Marlena Iverson where she meets Bodhi Durran who teaches her to face her past so that she can finally love again.
