To Reach a Star

I love admiring the stars, don't you? They're just captivating, beautifully painting the sky. I selfishly want to reach for one, to grasp it in my hands and keep it even if it means burning myself and suffocating it, possibly killing the life I once admired it had.

I'm selfish.

Astrid Rose Hofferson, your typical academic achiever girl. Losing? Not in her vocabulary. Perfection? The number one word in her vocab. But beneath her picture perfect image, she's actually crazy in love with a guy, a guy who gave up being an heir to a whole country just to you to travel the world and fulfill his dream of becoming the singer he always wanted to be.

Hayden (Hiccup) Horrendous Haddock lll, your typical black sheep of the family. He isn't neglected, exploited or frequently used as a scapegoat. He simply feels like it could be better. Their tone, their actions, the way they praise him.. it always seems so.. forced. Yes, they're proud of him, but not interested enough to actually make an effort to express it in a way he can feel their genuineness. He's constantly compared despite being the only child. Astrid saw him, alone, drinking, drunk and seemed to be being taken advantage of. She saves him just in time and brings him to her dorm, secretly. Who would've thought that her celebrity crush is actually at her place?!

After that day, they somehow keep bumping into each other, the concert, mall, coffee shop and even on the streets! Is this fate?

Until it dawns on her that he has a girlfriend-Merida. Can she survive her tragic love life when instead of avoiding him to not further complicate things became impossible due to her becoming a huge part of his family's life?

What should she do when she finds herself falling-starting to illicitly reach for a star?
