Dahlia Forbes was as young as 13 when she was chosen as a tribute in the 65th Hunger Games of 2303. Her father just died and her family nedded money. So Dahlia had really no other choice.

The experience was harsh but Dahlia found solace in Finnick Odair, who was just one year older than her. He taught her how to survive in such hell and helped her finding food and make weapons. They also shared rare yet wholesome cute moments, during which Finnick taught Dahlia's how to fish and they talked about their families, struggles, dreams and aspirations. Finnick was Dahlia's safe haven and the same was for Finnick.

Their union was so strong they were crowned victors.

After the Hunger Games, their lives were still messed up but they were always there for each other. Six months later they started a relationship and eight years later, at 22 and 23 years old, they got married.

A year passed. Finnick was 24 while Dahlia was 23. They just had their first child, a daughter named Yasmin. 10 years passed since their first met and things were slowly but surely returning to normal. Until the 75th Hunger Games happened and had new rules: victors from previous seasons would have fought against new tributes. And Finnick and Dahlia were one of them.
