TRIGGER WARNING: MENTIONS OF SUICIDE
NOTE: This book and the character's 'Roe Jekyll' and 'Ezekiel Hyde' have NO correlation to the book 'The Strange Case of dr.Henry Jekyll and Mr Hyde' by Robert Louis Stevenson. The characters are a spin on the concept and their last names a easter egg to the inspiration from the original source. THEY ARE NOT connected to Robert Louis Stevenson's book nor will they act like the characters from it.

Down Under
|WATTYS 2022 WINNER - HORROR| Shawn, a convicted criminal, never thought she'd see the sun again, let alone call another star system her home. When she's offered an out from her prison sentence, she embarks on a dangerous interstellar expedition along with 18 of Earth's most intelligent criminals. Their task is to set up a base on a supposedly habitable planet and prepare it for colonization. Although the planet has liquid water and a breathable atmosphere, it is believed to host only microbial life. However, upon arriving, Shawn and the rest of the colonists learn that assumption was grossly incorrect. In a brutal attack from rampaging wildlife, everyone but Shawn and four other colonists are killed. The five survivors retreat to the cavernous network beneath the ground seeking safety, but they soon come to a terrible discovery. These caves aren't ordinary caves, and they are no safer down under than they were on the surface. [][][] This was originally my entry for the 2021 Open Novella Contest, and it received an honorable mention! It has now been expanded into a full length novel. I used prompt number 53: "When wildlife starts rampaging, all the humans are forced underground. However, they come to a terrible discovery that being underground is no safer than being on the surface."Complete
I Don't Seem So Bright in a Well-Lit Room
"This book speaks to anyone with a neurodivergent brain, that may feel like an alien here on earth. I swear Browning made me laugh and cry and question reality...sometimes all in the same sentence." -JD Todd, author The universe is a very strange place. It will take even stranger heroes to save it. Potto is dim-witted, extremely forgetful and incredibly naïve. He wasn't always this way. Aye-Aye is devilishly shrewd and has boozed his way into a comfortable existence of incompetence and sleaze. How they ended up being two of the most wanted aliens in the galaxy is anyone's guess. Chased down by every oddball bounty hunter in the known universe, and befriended by a libidinous assassin, a fire-breathing reptilian, and a telepathic tree, their misadventures take them past Earth (the mall planet), to a floating sex circus, a planet of killer stuffed animals, an underground spaceship impound lot, and to a planet of reasonably priced bungalows. All while flying around in a ship powered by the brain waves of a psycho killer. A great prophecy proclaims that only "one of light, and one of dark" can save the universe from the dictatorship of The Node. That can't be Potto and Aye...Potto doesn't know what the word prophecy means, and neither know how to spell it. Part sci-fi epic, part absurd dark comedy, I Don't Seem So Bright in a Well-Lit Room is a comment on human behavior, depression, anxiety, and self-esteem. But way more fun than that sounds. So, do up your space seatbelts...it's going to be a bumpy ride. Despite the lack of potholes in space. (Sci-fi /Dark Humour/Absurd) *Completed! Enjoy! The Wonder Kids: Season One
The Wonder Kids N.E.A.T. Labs, an advanced science lab in Nashua, New Hampshire, comes up with a "master idea." A proposition so monumental yet feasibly catastrophic that could change the course of history. Their idea. The goal was to show that it was possible to create an Aurora Borealis through science. "Bring the Northern Lights to New Hampshire!" A team of scientists worked diligently for years to get this particle accelerator to be a success. On the night of the government exclusive launch of the Particle Accelerator-Aurora Collider-a group of teenagers sneak their way from Amherst onto the lab's property to witness history. That night the sky exploded; however, unfortunately for everyone within a ten-mile radius, the hunk of metal exploded, killing them in the process. But then! One minute they are taking their last breaths before waking up with superpowers beyond their wildest dreams. The chemicals from the particle accelerator changed their DNA. The teens wake up confused and scared. They agreed that it is best if they go back to the lab to find out what happened to them....only to find out that they, along with the other affected people, are being hunted, taken, and tested on. The blue ultimatum (ultimate leveling)
In a world where power hides behind science and divinity bleeds into lightning, a child was born from an impossible fusion of cosmic energy and human life. His name was Eli Christ, son of a global industrialist and a woman whose prayers for a child echoed into heaven-and into something else. But when a family friend, Dr. Xavier Letterson, discovered the strange phenomena surrounding Eli's birth, his obsession turned to betrayal. Under the guise of research, Xavier orchestrated Eli's kidnapping, determined to uncover the truth behind the boy's otherworldly aura. The night they took him, gunfire tore through the dark-his parents fell, though Eli never knew they survived. Somewhere between fear and fury, something inside him awakened. The storm within broke loose. Every machine screamed, every light shattered, every man in the lab turned to ash. When it ended, only silence remained-and Eli's memory was gone. Years later, he would awaken in a quiet town, raised by strangers, haunted by dreams of thunder and fire. His past erased, his destiny hidden beneath ordinary skin. Somewhere out there, a girl exists-tied to him by forces neither can yet understand. She is his calm and his undoing, though neither knows why. And when the storms return, so will he. Eli Christ. Elthunderel. Alien Voltreon. A forgotten god in the body of a boy-destined to remember what the world tried to erase.
They Made Us Monsters
In a world ruled by disease, fear, and government control, survival is no longer a choice-it's a rebellion. After a virus devastates the population, the U.S. government uses the crisis to seize control, turning teenagers into test subjects in brutal experiments meant to create super-soldiers. Those who are captured vanish into labs where their memories are wiped, their bodies are altered, and their identities are erased. Those who escape are left with scars-and the crushing guilt of the ones they couldn't save. Artemis Cross was never supposed to be a leader. But when she's captured and stripped of everything she knows, she becomes Subject 88, forced into a nightmare of pain, injections, and psychological warfare. Her mind begins to fracture-but one memory refuses to die: Z, the boy who once held her together, the boy she can't forget no matter how deep they dig into her brain. Outside the walls, Z is haunted by her absence. He can't eat, sleep, or breathe without seeing her face. As he and a fractured group of survivors drive through a collapsing America-riddled with graffiti, riots, and people fighting to the death over scraps-Z promises he'll find Artemis, even if he has to tear the system down piece by piece. But the deeper they get into the truth, the more twisted it becomes. Friends begin to betray each other. Love starts to fracture. And the world they thought they knew is far more dangerous than they ever imagined. Because this isn't just about surviving the system anymore. It's about burning it to the ground.Complete
