Sonic had a race with Shadow, not knowing that that'll be his last race with him.

When Sonic and Shadow decide to go Sonadow on everyone, Eggman becomes jealous of the attention Sonic no longer has for battling Badnicks and mechs. With hopes to divert Sonic's interest away from having a boyfriend, Eggman hatches an impressively evil plan to get rid of Shadow. Ⓣ I did the drawing with intentions to make a ridiculous yet disappearing cover. I felt kind of bad making Sonic look so sad but not bad in a bad way. Hope that made sense. What if Sonic was the one who found Shadow and woke him up? After Tails studies the Master Emerald as a way to track chaos energy should anything ever happen to it, a startling discovery was made. Tracking a high amount of chaos energy from a GUN facility, the trio break into the base to check it out. And as Sonic explores, he discovers a hedgehog just like him, and is determined to set him free. I technically have this as a series on AO3, but I plan to have it as one fic here.
