The year is 3000. Everybody is either dead, trying to survive, or a Half-ling. A Half-ling is what you turn into if you were unfortunate enough to get The Virus and survive. The Virus was a terrible disease that killed most of the world's population. It ate away at your body from the inside out, and there was nothing anyone could do. Until you completely disappeared. You were literally eaten alive; bone and all. Jason was one of the few who didn't catch The Virus, along with his sister Maria. They have to battle the elements, Half-lings, other survivors, and themselves just to stay alive. What happens when Maria is captured by a group of Half-lings, and taken away from her brother? Christina, a mother and once engaged, left her district in order to find a life for her and her son. Yet she finds the northern district, but finds out that the district that is most advance does have it's secrets. Meeting one man in the process, finding a family of her own and beginning the life she is left to, the final hope.
