The First Lady
The first instalation in the story of Livia Cardew.
When Livia enters her senior year at the University, a thoroughly cemented queen bee and president of her sorority, she doesn't expect her life to take such a drastic turn. Outside, she's a well brought up young debutante, known for her sharp tongue and independence. Inside, the gilded cage of her parents expectations seems to grow tighter every year. They raised her to be charming and to value nothing above wealth and family name. Her father raised her to seek validation, her mother raised her to please others, and she taught herself how to put on a front of stupidity and apathy over her internal insecurity, intelligence, and emotion. When Coriolanus Snow expresses interest in her, she sees him as an escape and an asset, secretly hoping he'll give her the unconditional love that she has never seen. Unfortunately, that was her first mistake.
TW: child death, a main character starting with an extremely insensitive worldview who makes cruel comments that I in no way condone or agree with as the author, smut, alcohol references.
(I don't own most of the characters featured in this. The Hunger Games universe, characters, and story all belong to Suzanne Collins. This is a fanfiction)
