Kamiya Nobu, an ordinary highschooler who has no interest in religion and has lost his faith in believing in god. This lead him to be disowned by his religious parents, forced to live on his own in the city.
Nobu believes his life and path can only be forged by himself, no gods or higher beings exist to perform divine interference. Whatever scenarios, positive or negative, he will only believe in none other than logic and science.
One day, his grandfather who Nobu was close to, passed away. A will was left by his grandfather to him, which states Nobu will inherits the shrine his grandfather ran if he lives in the shrine for a year. Nobu cannot refuse his grandfather's last will, and the extremely generous offer to obtain a piece of land and property.
Living in a shrine should be easy, he has lived by himself ever since he was forced to move away from home. Or so he thought... he was going to live alone...

A military engineer, who is mostly incompetent in the military part but capable in the engineering one. An avarage soldier, who is trying to play the big hero. A simple janitor, who just wants to get back home and last but not least, a man. A man, who did not mention anything about him. Curious. Just what will happen to them? Will they survive past the first day? Will they be able to find the Human Village and settle upon a new life?
