There are more bruises she can't hide, more pain to bear, but she's finally tired to do it in silence. She wipes the humiliating tears off her face. "Don't you dare touch me again." she defies the monster. "I don't even think God is on your side," he says with a reeking smell of alcohol. At the same time, a loud thunder with the brightest lightning illuminates the sky, the rain pours heavily A tall man elegantly walks forward, evidently upset he glances at the girl with the corner of his beautiful crystal blue eyes, tearing apart the man who has dared to put his hands on the girl he's been trying to protect. "A leech like you would never understand the depths of my trust for this girl." The God of Water stands behind her, like a bodyguard. "Giving up has never been an option for you, perhaps taking the garbage out of your way can help you find your freedom." The mysterious man says. Just as he finishes his sentence, a bolt of lightning strikes loudly in the sky. He turns to face the monster as he freezes in shock, He knows, this time he won't be forgiven.Complete
Ayn's Healing
Ayn is a witch with healing powers. Shapeshifters have killed her parents and the only animals she cannot speak with are wolves. When she graduates from the Teaching Clan and finds out that she has to cross the River and live in the Wolves' Mountains for one year, she is less than amused. Kari, first-born shapeshifter Alpha, almost lost his wolf after the death of his mate. He could rise again and become the pack leader if only he would complete his training ...and find another suitable Luna. When he realizes that his second chance is his mother's guest, a daydreaming stubborn witch from across the River, he is less than amused. The bond may be a strong force, but can a witch walk the Wolves' Way and face the dangers it is paved with? **** "I need to stop..." I sigh, catching her wrist before her fingers reach the back of my neck, and I untangle her arm from me. She lingers on the recliner but now there is a big gap between our bodies. The warmth she left on my skin is quickly dissipating in the spring night. "Fine." Ayn stands and searches my eyes. Her scowl has my wolf whimper in submission and makes me curse my self-imposed hard line. "I am going to need your hoodie," she orders, stretching her hand out to me. "What?" I exclaim, briefly shocked by both the tone and the content of her words. My hands however are already executing her command, unzipping my jacket. "The last time I was able to sleep, I was covered with your hoodie. Your scent is comforting." She states it plainly as if it would be an obvious and broadly known fact. Like the Earth being round. Like two being a prime number. #1 in Healer - December 2021 #7 in Lycan - December 2022 ~95 000 words Cover photo by Jr Korpa via Unsplash Cover photo by Marc-Olivier Jodoin via Unsplash hiComplete
