Ten unknown individuals land abruptly on an abandoned planet, all possessing a name but lacking any history. In a city filled with uncertainty and a dull atmosphere, they encounter a secretive group that seems to have extensive knowledge about their lives. At the boundaries of their thoughts, memories flash bypain, strength, and a life that was taken away. While they look for answers, rumors about who they really are start to circulate, and darkness starts to gather around them. They are not merely lost; they are pursued. The only escape lies in revealing the truth that they were never intended to recall.

[Book 1 of the ARC10 Trilogy] **Winner of the 2017 Watty Storysmith award** The President created an underground safe-haven for the survivors of the alien invasion. He built it to save them all from total annihilation. He protects them, feeds them, keeps them under his ever-watchful gaze so they can live. All he asks is that they obey. Captain Janika Lorn doesn't want to obey. Not if it means spreading her legs and contributing to the President's precious eugenics program. As a perfect candidate for the Human Hope Project, she is obligated by law to make more citizens for the dying society. But all she wants is her freedom to fight the Invaders and protect the people who already exist. If the mandated program wasn't bad enough, the worst part is trying to fulfill it with Captain Dean Freyer, her scientifically matched partner and best friend of sixteen years. Just as Captain Lorn is about to succumb to her fate, another opportunity arises. A mysterious commanding officer asks her to lead a human refugee ship--to save humanity by evacuating the destroyed Earth and shuttling the remaining population to a new habitable exoplanet 400 light years away. The mission is perilous. Especially because now, standing between her and her freedom is the hostile alien hosts of her ship, the ARC10, a sister returned from the dead, an array of impossibly confusing alien tech, a rekindled heat between her and Dean, and a sexy militia chief she can't seem to keep her hands off of. ARC10 is a romance-heavy sci-fi with the speculative horror of Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale and the military action of Battle: Los Angeles. Cover art by @FayLane Copyright © 2016 by LL Montez

The dome, a sanctuary for many in a frozen hell of a planet called Aurelith, constructed and "maintained" by NeuroCore, a corrupt medical and pharmaceutical company gone mining exploitation of resources and people for yet unknown purposes. The people in it are known as the Moles. The dome is one of many other colonies around Aurelith, each working to the bone to fulfill the quotas assigned to them, with harsh punishments should they fail to succeed. Among them, one man, Viktor Lu'bierre, who arrived on this planet under mysterious circumstances 1 year prior, and his continued presence has stirred change for the people and parts of the world itself. No one knows what his purpose is, or what led him to Aurelith. And through comradery and collaboration, people still see him with an air of suspicion, well earned for his less than usual methods of "getting things done." The planet holds many secrets, buried between miles of ice and snow. Storm and electromagnetic anomalies hide the northern side of the planet, and what lies beyond the dead lands still remains unknown, as not even the best probes have been able to punch through the thick and mud of the thick, deadly hair up there. Awaken, Astren. DISCLAIMER: This is a work of fiction. Slow paced narrative set in a world awakened to panpsychism and innate abilities following the fall and rise of society. A gentle approach to world building with a bit of humor, romanticism, and just enough hints of drama without going into it. When everyone writes about how it could all go wrong or what happens after it does; who wants to read about what happens if it just goes right for once? Still conflict and drama but, the hard work is already done. Now you just get to see a glimpse of what happens in a reality where it all works out. Work in progress - Inspired by Ready Players?; One Chaotic Answer This will be a slower update than Ready Players? but hopefully be more full in edits and depth. Comments and suggestions considered, otherwise please enjoy as this book and story unfolds. Thank you
