Also, one or two of the chapters was inspired by The Cabin In The Woods. I've basically been breathing it lately, so yeah. You should watch it. It's a good movie.

They live in worry of discovery as mobs of raiders move through the state. Two years after the virus release, they have found comfort in one another, and even love. When marauders invade their property and kidnap Shelby, leaving Keller for dead, she discovers there's more to the left behind than those that have devolved into their inner animal. At a camp run by the mysterious Isaac, she is met with the challenge of accepting that things aren't exactly as she'd assumed. That evil is counterbalanced with good. That survival of the human species is worth fighting for. And so is love.

I'd say enjoy this version while it's still posted... but honestly, it's rather rocky as I sort of jumped into the book without a plan, clear plot, or anything. So many decisions, so little time, as the saying goes. Oh... That's wrong? Too bad. That's Amethyst's version. She will consider one person in this ordeal to be her friend. He's helped her from the beginning. And there is one more twist. You know those cliched werewolf stories where the girl is abused and then she runs away and finds her mate and lives happily ever after? Yeah, there's a twist on that, too. You'll see.
