This is part 4 of my Short Story collection! I don't know how long it'll be but its going so far!
This short story was inspired by Sleep Tokens new Album release and my favorite song from the album. It has some of the lyrics woven into it to make it that much better!

To Warm Frozen Fingers // A Short Story Collection
I like to write. As you may be able to tell. I haven't been very good at writing lately. As you may also have been able to tell. That's why I've decided to write a short story collection. The stories won't interlink, some may vary wildly and you might even wonder if they were written by the same person (the answer is yes). Overall, I'm aiming to write 23 stories, which was one per day for 23 days but I failed at that (*seethes* college work...) so now I'm just aiming to finish it before winter is over! The stories won't be very long - I'm only allowed to write for 10 minutes per story, just to get me going again (and literally warm my fingers, I get really really cold fingers for some reason) and the most I've ever written in that time is around 500 words. When I wake in the hospital, adorned with a new scar across me from the fateful day I lost everything, I have no choice but to try and pick up the life that I left behind in America without Vessel by my side. With no contact from him and a broken heart, I am set to graduate with a psychology degree and am forced to move on. Then, only a few days before graduation, a letter arrives at my college campus for a job offer as a group therapist. For a band. In Europe. The Summoning (Sleep Token FanFiction)
Making a deal with the God of Sleep wasn't exactly on my bingo card, but neither was getting caught up in a sacrificial ritual. The four men in masks saved me only to bring me to their own church of worship, telling me I can't go home because of the debt I owe. But a pact made long ago with the God and the one they call Vessel has me questioning my trust in them, especially when the standoff-ish Vessel of Sleep, the leader of the group, seems to know something I don't. The only way to learn the truth is to delve deeper into their lives, digging up my own buried past along with it... This is a slow burn romance mystery. Things take a turn and she ends up preforming with them and going on tour with them.
