The man stopped.

“Please! I’m not a bad girl! Don’t let them get me!” she sobbed. The man did not sneer, or lash out, in fact this time he turned around allowing the girl to fall to his side. She looked up in awe, as his almost white skin shined under the candlelight, reminding the young girl of the villain’s mother would read about. Brave, strong, mysterious and cruel.
