In fact, Mr. Afton is the co-owner of the local Fazbears Pizzeria. The Afton family is central to the lore of the "Five Nights at Freddy's" series. The story begins with William Afton, a talented engineer and co-founder of a restaurant chain that features animatronic characters. They had three children: Michael, the eldest, who grew up trying to live up to his father's expectations; Chris (often referred to as the "Crying Child" by fans), the sensitive middle child who had a deep fear of the animatronics; and Elizabeth, the youngest, who shared her father's fascination with the animatronics but lacked an understanding of their dangers. As the Afton children grew up, the family dynamic became increasingly strained.
