Cracked headstones jutted from the ground like broken teeth, their engravings worn smooth by age and sorrow. Beneath the weight of the storm, a single figure stood still. A black cloak billowed around her, clinging to her frame as the wind pulled at the hem. The hood concealed her face in shadow, the faint shimmer of silver at her hip the only hint of the weapons she carried beneath. She stood before a grave, unmoving, the name on the tombstone washed clean by rain and time. Only the date remained visible. Only the silence remembered.
