When Lynn's brothers name is called out in the reaping, she's desperate to volunteer for him, not for fame, but to simply save him. It's not allowed though. She'll realise that volunteering isn't the only way to be sent to the Hunger Games though...
In desperation to try fix things and make her guilt disappear, she makes a deal.
