Humans and hybrids have a history of hating each other, leading them to live their lives with as little contact as they possibly can.

But when the only all-hybrid university in the country closes due to a lack of funding, the university that Minho is ready to enrol in suddenly changes tradition and becomes the first institute to integrate hybrids and humans.

When Minho then gets assigned a red-squirrel hybrid as his roommate, he wonders just on how on earth he'll be able to survive his first year of university.
