The burning desert sun, illuminating the gold of the vast sands, was burning too brightly when Sekhmet's whisper cut through my hearing. Kneeling before the toppled altar of Thoth, I inhaled the smoke from the frankincense and myrrh with a lion's roar. The amulets were shattered and pieces of them were scattered across the stone of the temple lost in mirages. Blood-red oil dripped down my arms, leaving the writing of an ancient curse on my skin. The hot wind that laughed with Seth's breath carried sand through the cracked columns, whispering of the end of time.
Even the hearts in the sacrificial bowls could no longer appease the Great Ra's anger at those who went against his will. The gods had turned their backs on those they themselves had spawned. And now that the high priests had fallen and the temples were swallowed by the desert, I alone, chosen and cursed by my own power, stood between the world of the living and the chaos that came from the east, where the purple sun's rook heralded blood.

Action Adventure Series • Book 2 Deep in the shifting sands of Zagora Morocco. Where the tents of the Sultans hide their secrets. The Sunbound are thrust forward into mystery and intruige. "...The desert remembers." The words rose from the cushions of crimson and gold, low and velvet, yet heavy enough to silence the very lanterns above. The Sultan leaned forward, his ring catching the lamp's living glow, and the Sunbound felt the air tighten. "It remembers every secret, every oath, every betrayal buried beneath its sands. And you-" his eyes lingered, one heartbeat too long, on Atlas, before sliding back into shadow, "-you are here because the sands have decided it is time to remember again." Atlas's Ordeal ━━━━━━━━━━━ At last, Atlas steps forward, jaw set, muttering curses under his breath. "Bloody circus," he growls, but still kneels. He thrusts his hand into the sand with defiance. The lamp erupts. The flame roars tall and wild, shadows streaking across the tent. For a breathless instant, the gazelle's silhouette leaps across the canvas - and then turns its head, staring only at him. Atlas freezes. The sand burns into his palm, leaving the mark of a single gazelle's hoofprint. He jerks back, swearing, clutching his hand. The Sultan's voice drops to a whisper heavy with meaning: "The Hand of the Hunt. Marked by the Gazelle herself. The hunter who is chosen... becomes the prey." The lamp flickers low, then steadies, its judgment complete.

They broke her trust. They broke his mind. But when the past claws its way back, survival isn't enough - vengeance demands blood. Victoria learned how to stay quiet. Grief became her shadow, guilt her constant companion. It whispered in her ear that she should have been the one to die instead. Not her mother. Never her mother. If she had, maybe her father wouldn't have walked away, leaving them to fend for themselves. But silence is a fragile shield-and when the past resurfaces, dragging her into a world she barely escaped, she realizes staying quiet won't save her this time. Xavier learned how to disappear behind scars, behind rage, behind the monster his past made him. Forged by cruelty, built by betrayal, and fueled by rage, he became the kind of man other monsters feared. Scars became his armor. Violence, his language. He doesn't believe in mercy-only vengeance. Especially for the man who made him this way. Victoria was everything he had been taught to avoid - soft yet unbreakable, damaged yet defiant. She had the kind of pain that mirrored his own, a past carved into her bones, a war waged behind tired eyes. She saw through him in ways no one else had ever dared, and he hated it. Hated her. Because she made him feel. He was chaos wrapped in quiet fury, a storm threatening to consume everything in its path. And yet, when she looked at him, she didn't just see the monster - she saw the man who had once fought to hold on to his soul. But love between two broken people is never easy. It's volatile. Cruel. A constant push and pull, neither of them willing to surrender, both too damaged to truly hold on. The closer they get, the more dangerous the stakes become. Yet, for all the ways they fought against it, they kept coming back to each other.

She was born of a bargain, stitched from starlight and ruin, the last gift of a dying son to a goddess who loved thresholds more than mercy. 𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐔𝐒 𝐁𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐊 entered the world with silver eyes that remembered every grave, golden hair that shimmered like a crown too heavy for any child, and a silence that unsettled even the house that raised her. The Blacks bred tempests, and she was a storm disguised as grace. Though long before her first breath, the constellations had written her fate. They named her for dawn yet clothed her in dusk, promising her to the boy who bore lightning in his scar. 𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐘 𝐏𝐎𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐑-child of prophecy, boy marked by fate for death, the lamb to be slaughter and sacrificed. They found each other in corridors steeped in omen, their eyes meeting as if they had done so for centuries. His sorrow recognized her fury; her tenderness understood his ruin. Their love was not a choice but an inheritance, whispered by the heavens, sealed in the marrow of their bones. The world stood against them. As bloodlines demanded obedience, gods demanded payment, destiny demanded separation. Yet together they moved toward each other as planets do, colliding though they knew it would shatter the sky. Their love was no sanctuary. It was a doom both holy and profane, a sacrament carved into the stars with the same hand that wrote death.

Feel free to click off if any of these make you uncomfortable. ~•~ Something about it was so mysterious about this cave, and I wanted to know more. I entered the cave and saw a red crystal sealed in ice. "Woah." I whispered. The crystal glowed and the ice shattered. I jumped back and fell to the ground, watching as the ice broke completely. My eyes widened and I looked at my hands. "Did I do that?" I asked, but before I could answer, I heard a guard shout for backup as they had heard the ice shattering. I quickly jumped up and stashed the crystal in my pocket before leaving. I crept to the cave the following day, putting the crystal back into the remains of the ice pillar. As I walked away, the crystal fell, causing it to break into a million pieces. I jumped at the sudden noise and stumbled backwards, my eyes widening as a black smog formed around the crystal. "No, no, no, no! Frick." I desperately tried to grab the remains of the crystal, causing one to cut my hand. "Ow! Shit." I whispered, looking at my bleeding hand. "Tch, tch, tch, poor child." A demonic voice said. I looked up and saw that the black smog had two red eyes and a wide, sick smile that was dripping with venom. "I- who are you?" I asked, backing up. "The one who can help you out of here." It said, stretching out a hand. I looked it up and down and before I could answer, its hand plunged into my heart, causing me to scream out in pain. Zahra Paradise was the beauty and marvel that preceded The Sahara Desert Even The Amazon, in its previous glory, paled in comparison. Cool, clear rivers meandered through the landscape while waterfalls thundered with a low roar. The day was a perfect balance: a clear blue sky, warm and bright, met with a constant, refreshing breeze. Overhead, brilliantly colored birds sang in a continuous, harmonious chorus that filled the air. Animals frolicked, flowers blazed with impossible colours, and every breeze carried the scent of life itseif. It was a paradise built by The Creator, praised and adored by the gods. But envy took root. Azazel, the king of the Underworld, grew restless of the ceaseless worship. In a quiet act of defiance he planted a seed - three Beings, shaped in divine likeness, set loose to "enjoy" the Creator's work... but really to unravel it from within. What began as beauty became temptation, and temptation grew into rebellion. In an epic showdown, Azazel corrupts the first men and wages war on the gods, forever changing the face of the earth. Paradise cracked, Zahra fell. What was once splendour turned to scorched earth and a sandy desert; Sahara, a desolate wasteland, a monument to their sins. But The Lord's judgment brought forth a powerful curse and a promise of salvation. This is the origin story of the Shapeshifters: Humans, Lionshifters and the Hyenashifters-a new generation born to live with the consequences of an ancient war
