When an unexpected encounter at a Naboo gala brings her face-to-face with General & Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, whom she had met many years ago during the debacle of the Trade Federation on Naboo ten years prior, Chandria finds herself drawn into a world far more dangerous - and far more personal - than just politics. The Clone Wars rage on around Sistires, but one thing is for certain. Sistires will never go back to being only the agricultural hotspot of the Republic if she decides to charge into the War.
Soon, the choice will come. Will she sacrifice everything she's worked so hard for as tensions rise, both politically and personally? Or will she keep her planet's peace and remain a not-so-silent, watchful spector in the inter-galactic affairs between the Republic and the Separatists?

Book 1 of the "LAY OF THE LAND" trilogy. Some of the plot is that of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, though there will be some deviation at the beginning and the further we get in the story. Nothing belongs to me except Chandria, Sistires, the plot of some of the book, Éraniel, and anyone/thing else not hailing from Star Wars canon.

Anakin Skywalker will not become Darth Vader. Not yet, anyway. Padmé saved him from a lifetime of regret by pulling him out of the fateful battle between Mace Windu and Chancellor Palpatine. But at some point, he still has to decide if his heart lies with the Jedi or the Sith. Palpatine, undeterred by the loss of his potential apprentice, still devises a way to create the Empire and wipe out the vast majority of the Jedi. He sends various threats directly to Anakin and Padmé to convince them that they and their newborn children are in danger. Fearing for their safety, they split. For years, Anakin and Leia wander throughout the galaxy, dodging the Empire and searching for a greater purpose. Meanwhile, Padmé raises Luke while working with Bail Organa and Mon Mothma to lead the fight against the oppressive Galactic Empire. Anakin is constantly tempted by the Dark Side. Padmé struggles to help the Rebels succeed. Their children mean everything to both of them. The story also features other characters we all know and love, such as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka Tano, Han Solo, and Boba Fett. Most of the story takes place 7 years after Revenge of the Sith. Please note that I would never change the canon; this story is intended to explore what could have happened, not what should have happened. OCs are used very sparingly. Thanks for reading! Anakin and Obi-Wan have just rescued the Chancellor and returned to planet side safe and sound. Anakin has finally had his long awaited reunion with Padmé. But it doesn't last for long. The next thing the three of them know, the Force has transported them to a different place. A different universe, to a planet that is known as Earth. Luna Snow Ramsey is nearly fourteen. She is obsessed with Star Wars, friendless, has a past she tries not to think about, and is used to handling everything one way: solo. One night, her world is turned upside down when she meets three people from a place that she had previously thought only existed in her imagination and dreams. Things begin to become steadily more chaotic as time goes on. Luna believes the Force will bring the three back to their proper universe, but until then it is up to her to find a way to keep Anakin from the darkside and warn the two Jedi and Senator of what is to come. It doesn't help that she knows so much about their world and has to be careful of what she tells of their future. From there, things that Luna would normally handle alone are unwilling for her to be able to take care of, and another memory is added to the ever growing pile stitched behind a wall for past memories she doesn't want to think about. She'd been a padawan in the Clone Wars and had joined in the battle against the tyrannical Empire. But no matter how many fights she came back from, she was never prepared for what she'd lose. The Jedi had been slandered, their once loved name became mud beneath a blurrgs feet. She had fought battles civilians couldn't and was now branded a traitor. Her past haunted her. The Jedi haunted her. The Force haunted her. But no matter how much she ran, it always caught up. The Galactic Republic was long gone, the Jedi were dead, even the Empire had been defeated. She'd lived through all of it, all because she'd ignored and hidden one of the most important things about her. The war was over, the Rebellion had won, the Empire was gone. So why was she still struggling to find where she fit in the mix of it? She was a Jedi. Where did a Jedi fit into a galaxy that hadn't seen one for nearly thirty years?
