Ominis Gaunt had a plan. He was supposed to pass his NEWTs, disappear forever, and never look back.

Apparently, all it took to ruin his plans was a badly-played song and a girl who didn't know how to mind her own business.

What followed was a slow, impossible unraveling-of his plans, of his pride, and of something else that came too just a little too late.

Or: Ominis Gaunt learns to play the piano.

Someone Else | Hogwarts Legacy by JuniperSpider
46 parts Complete
Did you ever wonder what happened to Ominis Gaunt after the events of Hogwarts Legacy? Why is his name missing from the Gaunt family tree? How did the once noble House of Gaunt fall into ruin, reduced to a shack in Little Hangleton? History has forgotten a great many things. Among them is the unwritten tale of Rosemary Abbott - Hero of Hogwarts - a name that never made it to Harry Potter's history books. One might wonder why. This historian may have found the answers in a little known romance novel, published over a century ago. It tells the sweet tale of two young friends, who found themselves suddenly arranged to be married by their families. Rosemary, whose family's tradition insists on marrying after graduation, finds the match unexpectedly agreeable. But Ominis...would rather condemn himself to a life of solitude than endanger the girl he's secretly loved for a year. His only solution is for her to find someone else... Is this romance novel purely fiction, or is it inspired by real events lost to time? As public records from 1890-1893 are difficult to verify, thanks to a mysterious fire in the Records Room at the Ministry...we may never know. ------- SPOILER + WARNING: *Some quests from the game have been used in this story with endings that have been reimagined to further the plot. *There are some scenes of violence (mostly while dueling) and mentions of death, but I have tried to keep it as non-graphic as possible. 36 parts Complete Mature

We were the perfect trio of friends. Ominis Gaunt, Sebastian Sallow and I. We became bound through our grief, our friendship flourishing extravagantly as we became more like a family for one another as our real families stayed sheltered in the dark. The protagonist intends on dating this year being her 7th one at Hogwarts, this has caused a lot of jealously and feelings to arise from the shadows within the Slytherin boys. Hormones sky rocket, first's are taken and lessons are taught as goblins are seeking their revenge hungrily. How will she cope when she's secretly in love with them both, will their friendship survive another uprising of goblins and dark wizards when it nearly broke them the last time? ~ Ominis and Sebastian navigate the waters of this tricky love triangle as they learn to share her, softening as they begin to realise their true feelings for her. If you can't decide between your favourite Slytherin boy, why not have them both? ~ This story takes place in the hogwarts legacy universe, several years later.
