Seventeen years of silence.
That's how long her mother has kept the truth hidden. The whispers, the nightmares, the strange fire under her skin that never quite goes out. But when a violent stranger appears out of nowhere eyes like embers, smile like a cure and calls her Blightborne, everything fractures.
He says monsters like her shouldn't exist.
she didn't even know monsters were real.
Hunted by angels, stalked by demons, and haunted by a prophecy that speaks of fire, blood, and ruin, she's forced into a world she never asked to be part of, where the truth about her birth could ignite a war between realms.
And the boy she should never trust?
He might be the only one who understands what it's like to be feared for what you are.
She isn't ready to burn the world.
But the world might not giver her a choice.

Escaping the Monster's Embrace (OLD BEING REWRITTEN ) di Mentally-Insane
36 parti Completa Per adulti
(Currently being rewritten under a new name The Claimed) Everything changed when they came out of hiding, terror spread across the world as people began to question if our presidents and our global leaders lied to us and weren't from the same race. The Beasts blended in amongst us as if we were the same, except humans didn't have the same predatory instincts and we couldn't change our forms like they could. Soon after we learnt that we weren't the only species people began going missing. Some were unlucky and taken as something that the Beasts called a Mate that one word made fear spread throughout my veins, I would rather sell my soul than have one of them mutts chain me to them. Six months went by before the government, that was un-tainted by this vile race began to take action into their own hands contacting other countries and militaries causing the great war to happen, sending both my parents off to fight for our rights. Only one of them came back, two months was the longest we lasted before we were overpowered by them. Six years of living in this dysfunctional environment and my hatred had never dwindled. Some people still believed in god and had faith in him, I didn't know what I believed in but I prayed like everyone else that I would get through another day without hearing the soul crushing word 'Mate'. "So." She mused, sliding one black nail across her lip in a sensual caress as she stared at me with eyes the color of molten gold. "You are the one they call Huntress." Disregarding the pain in my side from the most recent beating, I straightened my shoulders and stood tall, my chin jutting out in defiance. "Yes." "Mm." Those intriguing eyes watched me from her languid position on the throne. "But, you are not just a huntress, are you?" I allowed the predatory instincts I usually worked so hard to keep hidden, to surface, feeling the burning of my eyes and shifting of bones under my skin. A slow grin slid across my face as my beast stared back at her through my human skin. The Queen didn't react to my sudden change of character, instead choosing to lean forward in interest. "How fascinating." • Once, the world was ruled by humans and technology. They were governed by a president that made choices for all. Vampires, werewolves alike hid their existence from the humans for centuries, blending in as a whole. Now, they hid no more. States are now territories governed by kings and queens, humans are regarded and used for no more than their blood and body before they are discarded and forgotten. Werewolves and vampires were at war, and it was said that the wolves had all been but snuffed out, save for one. When Adira is captured while hunting outside her homeland, she is unexpectedly sold to the Queen in the North. Wolf blood is sacred, it is said to hold inexplainable powers, and as the only wolf-borne known to humans and vampires alike, Adira fears for her life. Thrown into a world governed by everything she's been trained to hate, Adira fights for her rightful place in the world, a seat at the Queen's side. But proving her worth won't be easy, the price for failure is her life.

Haunted by prophetic dreams and armed with nothing but sarcasm, a glitchy moral compass, and a stolen handgun, 17-year-old Gabriel is trying to outrun the apocalypse-literally. With bombs falling, faith collapsing, and mysterious forces twisting reality, Gabe is thrust into a war he predicted but no one believed. Alongside a runaway with too many secrets and a scent like sin, Gabe becomes a reluctant prophet in a world governed by sins, secrets, and systemic collapse. But prophecy comes at a price. And some dreams don't wait for morning to come true. Cracked Earth is a fast-paced, darkly humorous descent into a fractured world where Heaven and Hell are corporate franchises, your best friend might be Wrath in disguise, and the only thing more dangerous than a lost cause... is hope. The world is dying. Heaven and Hell have broken and collapsed, creating a post-apocalyptic landscape that is part purgatory, part platonic world of ideas, blighted by the horrors of the human mind. The sun lies dormant in the east, atop God's tower, while the west is plunged into darkness and haunted by all that lives there. There is no day and night cycle, nothing grows, nothing dies, nothing changes, unless magic is involved. Angels hunt creatures for their blood, to feed it to God so he can finish gestating. Demons kill and destroy aimlessly, their origins inexplicable and unknown. Stranger beings wander the ruins of what's left of the world. Humans need not eat or sleep, caught in a state between life and death. They cannot die or be born naturally, but they can be killed and they can be made. The few that survived with their sanity somewhat intact have locked themselves into warded cities, but their protections are feeble and often ineffective. The Order that united them is long gone, broken into factions known only by the sins for which they have fallen. The Houses that protected them are crumbling, falling into ruin as their members were culled down by angels and demons, as well as their own mad quest to save the world; the Pilgrimage, a vain attempt to steal into Eden and murder God himself. Soon, only the Scions will remain. Those that were left not due to merit, but because they were the last choice for being heroes. Those whose memories and minds are as damaged and eaten through as their world. Those who agreed to take on the mysterious Archons within their bodies and, through that contract, had ancient relics and rituals passed down to them. They converge onto a long forgotten neutral ground, trying to save themselves. A heroic journey through a nightmarish wonderland. A pilgrimage to God's tower, to make the world whole again. To cleanse the world of the horrors infecting it. To kill the God who will doom them all with his birth.

The girl with no wolf. An extra mouth to feed. A liability. A defenseless miscreation. Seraphina had heard it all. She had felt it all too. The bone aching bruises, the defenseless claw scratches just shy of her neck on the edges of her collarbone, she had seen it all too. It had been so long since it had started that she couldn't recall a time when the degradation was compliments and not insults. Now, it was all she ever expected. If she had known five years ago that not having a wolf would cause this much hate she would have begged her parents to move to another pack. It felt like an eternity since it all happened. Or rather what didn't happen. She still could not shift. She was defective. A mistake in the gene pool. But she didn't know she would end up like this. She couldn't have, just like she couldn't have expected to come face to face with the Alpha Slayer. A man casted in shadow. Not many had ever seen his face, but that didn't make him any less real. Alphas after all were dethroned from the likes of him. Word spreads quickly. So, when Seraphina ends up in his line of sight she has a lot more to figure out than just not having a wolf, because it very well might cost her, her life. Updated: Weekly ⚠️Mature Content⚠️ Book is completed and currently being revised and rewritten. This is book one of the For the Taking Trilogy.
