Holding 10 is the love story between Sloane Lynch, Shannon's twin sister, and Hughie Biggs. Hughie Biggs, the wise old-soul finds Sloane at the lowest point in her life. Sloane is the third oldest Lynch, being a few minutes older than Shannon. Sloane's "parents" had just died in a house fire that her father started. Sloane deals with the nightmares from this night quite frequently. Shannons boyfriend, Johnny and his family took Sloane and the rest of their siblings in. Hughie always finds himself saving Sloane and the others around him, but will he ever save himself?
