After the events of Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Grace-an immortal alien hedgehog gifted with chaos powers and energy-sets off on a quest to find Shadow the Hedgehog. She discovers him lost, suffering from amnesia and haunted by deep and painful memories of his past.
But a new darkness is rising. An evil sorcerer, desperate to steal Grace's powers, has allied with another alien who has his own plans for Shadow.
