Excerpt:
I do not know how much time has passed before I feel light beginning to shine on my eyelids. I slowly blink them open and a soft dim glow has lit up the room. I can more easily make out the tall shelves and the wooden floors. The sun is just peeking out over the mountains and beams of sunlight are making their way through the large windows. The softest of the beams are reaching us gently, urging us to open our eyes.

I feel a shift in my arms. Startled, I whip my head down to see.

I inhale a shock gasp. My body freezes again. The humming stuck in my throat as I took in the vision before me.
