A galaxy once protected by warriors known as the Luminars - wielders of a powerful cosmic force called the Lumaether - now stands broken and divided. When the first Luminar was born, humanity split into two factions, each interpreting the Lumaether differently. In the war that followed, the Luminars vanished, and the galaxy fell into chaos. The Lumaether is now feared, yet secretly yearned for.
Only those touched by it can wield the legendary Luma Blades or Luma Staves. To others, these weapons are inert, like relics from forgotten gods. The rest of the galaxy relies on steel, plasma, and gunfire.
