Title: Crimson Oaths and Golden Hearts
A Rose Among Thorns
Mark had never believed in softness. Not in his world, where bullets were more common than butterflies, and loyalty was often bought with blood. At just 28, he had built an empire feared across borders. Ruthless, cunning, and cold-blooded - that's what they called him. And he liked it that way.
Until Tong stumbled into his world like a misplaced sunbeam in the darkest alley.
Tong, barely twenty, with eyes too big for his innocent face, and a heart too naïve for this cruel world, was like a porcelain doll wandering through a war zone. He was adorable, clumsy, always smiling - the kind of person Mark usually kept far away from his life.
But fate, or perhaps chaos, had other plans.
Their first meeting was anything but normal.
Mark was cleaning blood off his hands in a candle-lit church when Tong ran in, breathless, chased by a group of men in black. He tripped over the carpet, crashing into Mark's chest like a lost kitten leaping into a lion's den.
"Hide me!" Tong whispered, trembling. "Please!"
Mark looked down at the boy clutching his coat, blinking up at him like he hadn't just barged into a mafia boss's sanctuary. Something in those eyes - pure, trusting - made Mark act before he could think.
He hid Tong behind the altar, stepped into the aisle, and calmly told the intruders, "No one came in here. You're interrupting my prayers."
That was the beginning.
Of bullets and stolen glances. Of gentle bandages and possessive glowers. Of chaos in a cold heart.

The Briggs family had been friends with the Walter's ever since their oldest daughter started to walk.
This would mean all of their kids got along, right?
But that wasn't the case.
Natalie Briggs had a good relationship with the Walter kids although, it was very different feeling with the two Garcia boys.
Something about them drawled her away, which made her adventure with Isaac Garcia even more interesting.
Out of the blue, Isaac's flirty demeanor that he used on every girl was suddenly turned to Natalie, as if he wanted her attention.
It was weird, but safe to say she found this side of himself very amusing.
