She loved him silently for years. When she learned he loved someone else, she made the cruelest choice, she asked his mother to arrange their marriage just to stay close to him.
The man she loved then discovered that she was the one behind.
He never forgave her.
Their marriage was cold, loveless. The boy who once made her laugh now made her flinch. His words cut. His hands bruised. But she stayed because she loved him, even if it hurt.
Then one day, she saw it. His girl, kissing him. Her world crumbled. Through tears, she begged, "Why?"
He didn't flinch. "Hindi ka ba nakakaramdam Maeve. I kiss Siesta because i like her. We had a fucking relationship, pero putangina ikaw lang yung nagbubulagbulagan. Siesta is 100% much better than you Maeve, so don't fucking pull your fiancè card, 'cause we both know you're the only one who wants this damn wedding."
Then she ask her. She is making the man she loves choose who he will pick this time.
She broke. "E-Elias, k-kahit n-ngayon lang piliin mo a-ako. . . Please."
And after the intense silence in their surroundings, her beloved suddenly spoke, stopping her world.
"Don't make me choose between you and her." She couldn't see any pity in his eyes as he uttered each word.
"Why? B-Because your... heart was n-never mine to begin with?" Her chest clenched as a result of what she heard from the she man love, as well as the struggle she was having speaking each word.
"Yes... because I've already chosen her. And every part of me is shattering as I say it."
He looked at her empty, unfeeling, and walked away.
Because he didn't love her. Knor choose her.
And he never did. He will never did.
That night, driving alone, the rain fell harder than her sobs. Her vision blurred. A flash of headlights then nothing.
Silence.
She gave everything to a love that never looked back. And in the end, it took her.
