Charlie Miles is a ten year old boy with a hard life. He has an older sister, Jude, who went on a run and never returned, and a father- who is just horrible. He struggles to find a reason to fight this messed up world.
Can he find a reason when he is rescued by a grumpy man named Daryl Dixon and a sheriff named Rick Grimes? They have funny names, but don't seem all that bad.
Maybe there is hope for him yet.
