The Soviets invaded West Germany through East German proxy. The KPA and PLA launched an offensive to South Korea, effectively crippling Seoul- forcing South Korean government to a surrender.
With the lack of US supervision of Japan and the bureaucracy complications that put Japan unsupervised, Suzukaze Shohei, an imperialist sympathizer launched a coup and seized the prime minister position. Under his orders, Japan began remilitarization to form "The Second Japanese Empire"

Deletion of 1940 America: Subtraction in World War II
An alternate scenario of World War II. Typically, these stories involve adding elements, such as equipping Japan with modern technology or granting them knowledge from the future. But that approach feels too conventional, so I tried subtracting instead. I decided to remove the enormous factor that is the United States of America. The result was an entirely different history. The Hunters
On January 29, 2023 at 0733 hours GMT, seven high altitude nuclear explosions, occurring simultaneously, launched by countries of unknown origin, destroyed most of the electrical power infrastructure of all of the industrialized nations. At 0530 coordinated attacks were launched on the continental United States and most of its NATO allies by combined Russian and Chinese forces. The targets were mostly military and critical infrastructure facilities that were destroyed by strategic air strikes. NATO countries launched retaliatory attacks almost immediately. The first strikes were against strategic military targets in those countries, followed by an immediate full scale invasion of Iran. This global event was coordinated by the world superpowers as a means of destroying the most powerful independent nations and bringing them under the control of a new global government, known as the World Union. The Union, as it came to be known, became the world's single government body. Its initial responsibility was to bring the survivors of the war under its care and provide for the rebuilding of world populations. This was accomplished by concentrating all people in the largest standing population centers. Rural areas were cleared of most inhabitants and taken under control of the Union to provide for their needs.Some military and intelligence community special operators became suspicious of the official story. These doubts would cause them to be abandoned by the country they serve and targeted by the enemy they never saw coming.
The First OTHER World War (NWY2)
On one New Year's Eve, the moment the International Date Line welcomed the new year first, the change occurred. Communications between nations were severed, climates shifted, and unknown lands emerged. Eventually, as each country gathered information and realized they had somehow been transported to another world, their reactions varied. America: "FUCK YEAH! Frontier time, baby!" Russia: "FUCK YEAH! It's warmer now, and the vodka tastes even better!" China: "FUCK YEAH! Not sure what's going on, but there's a ton of stuff that looks edible!" Japan: "Must go to work." ...Or so one might expect, but in reality, each country moved forward with its own agenda, heading straight toward a clash of civilizations. PART 2 RELEASE: 2019 (UP TO DATE; HIATUS IN 2021)
Blessings to the Voyages of Another World
In a world where the conflict between Azur Lane and the Red Axis was overcome, and the Sirens were repelled- The Samoa Base from that world was suddenly summoned to a war-torn other world!? Amidst the chaos caused by clashes of values and common sense, this is the story of a young Commander and the KAN-SEN (some of whom are... troublesome) as they charge through the stormy seas of another world. And so, it begins! NOTICE This is my first post. This story is a crossover between Summoning Japan and Azur Lane, with characters and weapons from various other works mixed in. It also includes original lore, theories, and some convenient plot devices. Note that the summoning to another world happens two years earlier than in the OG Summoning Japan. The author's knowledge is "broad but shallow" (self-proclaimed), so there may be many mistakes, contradictions, typos, or awkward phrasing regarding politics, military affairs, etc. If you notice any, pointing them out in the comments would be greatly appreciated.
