Evander Cross has it all-looks, charm, talent. The basketball captain, the top student, the boy everyone either wants or envies. To the world, he's flawless. But behind his golden smile lies secrets no one dares imagine. A dying grandmother he works nights to support. A masked artist identity he hides from the world. A family that would rather see him broken than brilliant. Then comes Jamie, the transfer student who's just as smart, just as stubborn, and unwilling to let Evander's effortless victories slide. Their rivalry sparks instantly, but so does something neither of them expects-curiosity. When the school's anonymous forum exposes Evander's darkest rumor, the perfect image he's built begins to crumble. Friends turn into enemies. Loyalties shatter. And Jamie realizes the golden boy he thought he hated may be the one person he can't ignore. Because behind the golden boy... is a boy worth saving.
