The poem explores profound themes of societal constructs, personal freedom, and the human condition. It delves into the metaphor of "Factory Settings," portraying individuals as components of a larger system-mechanisms programmed to fulfill societal expectations while suppressing their true selves. Through evocative imagery and emotional depth, the poem questions the cost of conformity and the loss of authenticity in a world driven by ownership, efficiency, and control.

Just a number

9 partes Concluida Contenido adulto

In a world where your number affects the way you live, get treated and how much you get paid, how will two people be able to get around society's standards? Nikolas Galanis is a 92, he's set to inherit the family business. The Galanis family has a history of having high numbers as they have arranged marriages (with other high-status members) for their offspring over the last century. Nikolas is soon to accept his fate, as soon as he turns 20, if he hasn't found his own bride (who has a high societal number of course), his family will have to find him one themselves. Claudine Ariti is a 13, she has to help her father raise her 5 siblings after her mother, unfortunately, passed a few years before, due to not being able to afford proper healthcare, she dreams of being a singer, as singing was one of the only memories she had left with her mother. Although, she knows she can't follow her dreams without leaving her family, and family comes above everything.
