Sparda and Eva were blessed with three children, each born with their own peculiar traits and strength.
The youngest son's personality differed from his brothers. Yet, Sparda and Eva deem their youngest child bear a strong soul, similar to two of his older brothers.
He idolizes both brothers but feels inferior, caught between Dante's carefree strength and Vergil's calculated precision.
His mutated gene-a result of Sparda's demonic essence interacting unpredictably with Eva's human blood-sets him apart, making him feel like an outsider even within the family.
(If you haven't played the original games or are unfamiliar with the lore, I recommend looking into the original source. This book will include spoilers. Major ones)

Years after the events of DMC5, Vergil and Dante manage to escape the Underworld and seal it from anything powerful from being able to escape. The Sparda Twins make their way back to the shop, and are reunited with Nero, Trish, and Lady. Vergil sees Nero happy with Kyrie, and realizes he can't get Nero's forgiveness after what he did. So what does he do? He starts over, and finds love again. The katana wielding brother settles down with another woman, and has a second son for himself, one he will spend his time with, Y/N Sparda. However, being the Son of Sparda, there were still Demons that slipped through cracks of the Twin's Seal, and broke into the house, attacking the woman before being killed by Vergil. The blade instantly reacted to Arden, bestowing him with an unbreakable bond... Years passed and the brothers ound out their long lost brother was alive. Vergil was now cold, dark and full of hate... A year later when Dante opened his shop, Vergil returned, luring his brothers to the Demon Tower, Temen-Ni-Gru... This is where the brother fought, Vergil won in the end... Finding love in each other, they marry and live happily ever- heh, just kidding. Sparda dies from the strain of his sacrifice to seal Hell, leaving the woman alone and pregnant, weakened and dying as well. Naming her stillborn son after her first husband, he breathes his first, impossible breath. In secret, she raises him alone in the woods for 5 short years. Dying with a plea to her child to run and live long, a new legend is set forth in Remnant. One forged in the flames of dark divine, blessed by the demon of death. Can this wayward son of Sparda protect those he cares about? Will he find purpose in life, never surrendering to chaos? Will he find a way to prove his worth to himself and save those he cares for, or will he just be another raging demon, born of tragedy and trauma, fueled by the echoes of blood, death, and darkness? Just a fanfic that I'll *try* not to abandon in favor of a new idea. I'll try to balance high-octane action, pseudo-slice of life, and Remnant's brand of chaos.
