The story follows three main protagonists:

Thiago Álvarez, a Spanish soldier returning to Mallorca unaware he is one of the last living men. His diary reveals loss, pain, and the struggle to survive in a devastated continent.

Tulsi Galbard, former U.S. intelligence director, takes leadership of the new female military order after the disappearance of all male commanders. From a nuclear command plane, she organizes an international network of female military and scientific leaders to coordinate what remains of civilization.

Amaia Saliba, a former scientist turned nun in Bhutan, has visions of the disaster before it happens. Convinced she must spiritually guide the survivors, she embarks on a journey to the Ganges, leaving behind teachings and prophetic signs.

One year later, historian Elías Román, one of thirteen men who survived in bunkers, collects testimonies from women who managed to maintain pockets of order in places like South Korea, Israel, Switzerland, and Panama. These interviews reveal how civilization was sustained amid chaos.
