Jack spent all of her childhood in a small room. Only taken out to get experimented on. She felt like the she was alone against the world. To this day, she struggled letting anyone near her. She didn't exactly know a kind touch. All people ever wanted, was to take advantage of her. Jack was so tired of it. She no longer had any reason to trust on anyone. Or rely on anyone. She felt like any real, meaningful relationship was just another dagger, two inches from her skin, and even the smallest thing would plunge that dagger into her. Who could blame her?
Our story starts at Normandy. The collectors are still a looming threat. Jack has just gotten back from the Teltin facility. Shepard, Samara and Jack had taken a small preparation-esque detour, to blow up the old house of horrors. That didn't take away Jack's pain, though. And Samara is acutely aware of this..
