Kate Moore was always in her family, but never seen. Her brother one year older than her, Aiden Moore, was the captain for the hockey team at Penn State, also where their dad coached.
During their Tournament and playoffs week, she got stuck in an elevator with Jack Hughes. Only he was the captain for Michigan, and Aiden's rival. As they keep getting stuck in situations together, they become closer and sneak around behind theif families backs before they realize fhe mess that they got themselves into.
This leads them to choosing whether they should follow their hearts, or theif expectations and reality.
Just as she chooses her decision, something occurs which takes it all away.

"I'll wait."
-----

"You owe me a dance," he finally let go of my waist.
"A dance?" I questioned him.
"One that's longer and has music. Not in this elevator where we keep meeting."
-----

"Jack is would never work with my brother and dad, we'd just make everything worse."
"We could make it work Kate."
"Well what about you?"
"I'd rather have you than anything else."
-----
"You can't just act like there's nothing there!" He shouted at me as the rain started to pour down on us.
"What?" I suddenly turned my back towards him.
"I can't just act like I'm not in love with you!"

Crossing Lines

54 parts Complete

Charlotte Evans came to Vancouver for a fresh start - a new city, new career, and a chance to outrun the shadows of the past that nearly broke her. Her only rule? No hockey players. Not after the accident that took her ex's life, shattered her reputation, and made her the girl her hometown loves to blame. But she unknownlingly moved in across the hall from Quinn Hughes - captain of the Canucks and Canada's most beloved hockey prodigy - her carefully built walls begin to crack. Focused, soft-spoken, and maddeningly kind, Quinn is everything she swore she'd avoid... and everything her heart starts to want. He's at the peak of his career, with no time for distractions. She's spent years building armor she swore no man would ever get through. But as sparks fly, tempers clash, and a magnetic tension simmers just beneath the surface, niether can deny the pull between them. When unspoken attraction turns into something deeper, and a painful secret threatens to resurface, Charlotte and Quinn will have to decide whether some lines are meant to be crossed - or if the past will always be one game they can't win.
