Skye was tasked on a scouting mission to explore this new island with her defense team, Dori, Lana ,Kane and to safely escort Kira and the research team. The mission is to gather intel and explore the ancient ruins rumored to cure any illness and report back to HQ. However their only way home is through the travel gate, and that was destroyed. As she is separated from her group, she discovers a darker secret about her past.
Korral from the ocean sensed the gate activating. Curious, he stayed hidden beneath the waves and watched humans walked out the ring. It's been decades since anyone has ever traveled though it. His eyes were drawn to a mysterious woman, following her every move. She was dressed in all black and held a long sword, like a warrior for her people. His core hummed in his chest, when he first laid eyes on Skye as she entered his world. It is forbidden for Mermaids to mate with other species, let alone a human.He didn't understand this strong pull towards a human, it's not possible. Korral finds himself strongly attracted to her, and wants to learn everything about her, his driven obsession to do anything to keep her at his side forever, and making an offer... a solution for her people to return home.

A Mermaid for the Lonely
A mermaid named Sirène, whose job as a mermaid is to guide those who have died at sea to rest their souls and not be trapped. She typically finds sailors whose ships have sunk, and pirates and convoys alike. Her personality is one of seriousness, and she does not express herself by facial expressions very often. She does sung lovely tunes though, ones of the sea and winds, not ones meant to lure anyone to their doom. She seldom spends time with other merfolk and prefers to be on her own. She is however very curious of the various emotions humans possess and their intensity, since she does not feel these. One day, while Sirène was staying near Pointe de Pen Hir, a dangerous cliffside that plunges right into the ocean. Looking upwards by chance, she saw a human, a man, standing dangerously near the edge of the rocks. The wind blew harshly and she could only watch and wait as he toppled over the edge and feel towards the ocean. She saw no fight in him as he fell. ________________________________________________________________ This is a fantasy story with my mermaid OC that I started making back when I was in middle school. I've used her character to help me through tough times and I am revisiting her. I want to make sure I have a place to remember her story, and make it a happier one than before.Complete
