ADELINA - A quiet, nerdy psychology major with a scholarship to Lake Fog College, she keeps much to herself - and only has a small friend group.

ELENA - A stubborn, hot, tall, and outgoing English Literature major who only cares about herself, her friends, and obviously parties.

When one of Elenas' sorority girls drowns in the freshwater lake at a forbidden campus lake party, her lungs are discovered filled with salt. Everyone mourns the loss and regrets not doing something and not keeping an eye on her, but Miss Adelina Vale saw something else whilst reading at the top of the cliff that night.

A field trip with a twist of fate causes the 2 opposites to speak more, and they decide to try and figure out the stigma behind Lake Fog. They discover that every 7 years, a girl goes missing and is either found dead or is returned from the lake wrong with her whole personality changed.

But now for some reason, girls are disappearing faster, almost like it's every 7 days, Halloween is fast approaching and when the 2 girls find themselves hiding together, they realise the days are turning into minutes, someone is mimicking the actions of the lake but with knives instead of water - someone they know very well.

Bleeding, breathless, and hidden in the basement pool room of the college, the girls are left to talk about their feelings for each other, along with the deadly and terrifying truth.
