"Almost done, Vaggie!!!" Charlie chirped, a dirty cloth tied around her head like a bandana. Charlie hummed happily, cuts in between her humming due to her viciously scrubbing into the floorboards. "Layli will be here any minute!! I want everything to be perfect!"
Vaggie held a broom upright sweeping away cobwebs from the dramatically high ceiling. "Charlie... This is a hotel... In hell. It's perfect as it is..." Vaggie swatted away a stray dust bunny that floated down. "Besides... Do you think your cousin is going to appreciate any of this?"
Charlie paused mid-scrub, slowly setting down the worn-out rag as a soft sigh escaped. "Of course she will... Layli has always been uh... Specific. It doesn't matter Vaggie..." Charlie pouted glancing into her direction "I just want this to be. Perfect? I don't know... Good impression." she quickly fixed her gaze around the lobby, sweeping the areas with her eyes for any imperfections.
"Also. It's not just for Layli." Charlie grabbed the rag slinging it into a bucket, as she snatched a fresh clean one. "It's for us; and a clean lobby just feels more hopeful, especially for attracting sinners."
Vaggie dropped her arm with the broom in it. It met the ground with a thud. "Yeah..." she gestured to the staircase. "I'll take care of the steps; you can go get those last few cobwebs by the door... I'd hate for Layli to think we're slacking off." Vaggie offered Charlie a sincere smile.
Charlie grinned with a glint of excitement in her eyes. "You got it!! Layli won't be disappointed!" as Charlie was taking care of the cobwebs, and Vaggie putting some elbow grease into the musty staircase..

"A hotel? For redemption?" I asked myself and snickered as the princess danced around on screen. "The princess must be delusional. But, I suppose...maybe this could be an entertaining sight, no?"
