A long journey that I literally walked through the fire to save. It was the one thing I managed to save when my house burned to the ground a year ago. I'm putting it out here for the first time for people to read. Please let me know what you think and thank you for taking the time. Hopefully we'll continue to enjoy this journey together. This is a tale of Slade, a young boy who was convinced his life didn't matter. He lives in a massive empire that was carved out of hundreds of frightened villages centuries ago during the Long Night. Now what was once an army of adventurers and guild members is now one of the greatest forces in the world. But strange forces seek to undo all of this when the Withered Hand unleashes a sleeping sickness that deprives of waking child of tomorrow. Slade and his friends are the only ones that manage to escape the clutches of the Nightmare King. Now, with the help of the ancient wizard Rune, they will travel the Empire, enlisting the aid of the sage Guilds, each keepers of a different type of knowledge and skill, to find a way to wake the children of the Empire once again. *Each of the 4 guilds has a special focus of knowledge. They are: The Engineers: Designers and builders of machinery The Sorcerers: The keepers of the arcane and magic The Alchemists: The workers of change and transmutation, seeing what can be changed from one element to the next The Apothecaries: Keepers of the body. Makers of tinctures, salves, potions and other remedy to ailments of the body and mind.

'They pulled the chair across from me out and sat in it. The tavern carried on when the figure made themselves comfortable. My grip tightened on the hilt of the dagger. They pulled the hood of their cloak off and unclasped it. Their movements were relaxed and unhurried. I ran my eyes over him. He had strange black, swirling tattoos on his neck and long, pointed ears. His clothes were plain. I crossed my arms and sat back in my seat, keeping my eyes on his piercing midnight blue ones. He cocked an eyebrow. "Well?" I narrowed my eyes. "Well, what?" "What's your business here?" "I should be asking you that, considering you silenced a room by being in it." "Fair enough." He paused as the bartender brought another tankard over. "I'm looking for a travel companion." His voice was as deep as the shadows surrounding us. "You're an elf... Don't they prefer to travel on their own?" "Fae," he corrected as he pulled a pipe out of thin air. A black wisp of smoke surrounded his hand as he did so. "But yes, we do. I, however, have had enough of my thoughts being my only company." I nodded. "So?" He raised his eyebrows. I shook my head sadly. "This is something I need to do. Alone." "Alright." He looked a bit disappointed, which was odd, considering we had just met. ' What happens when you're going to kill the Unnamed One and meet a mysterious fae on your journey? Do you trust him, or leave him? And what do you do when you find out what he's been hiding? Iowyn Aedithas is on a quest to save her guild. A quest that could potentially be lethal for her. She's an awfully brave (some would say naive) human to be doing this. Demons have been attacking her guild, and she's had enough. She meets Evaris, the mysterious fae, on her journey and he becomes her travel companion. When they reach their destination, he reveals information that's previously been held close.

A young man, Basil Adelio, found that humans deserved more than to be farmers. But there was more to his plan. He was after the throne, so he could rule all over Oceanum Collis. Together, the magical creatures were able to stop him. The humans left the lands, leaving behind everything they had built. The alliance between the four people was broken. The elves and mermaids tried to rebuild their alliance, but without the werewolves it was impossible. And so the three different people parted, hardly talking to one another ever again. Now, one hundred years later, a new realm has been created. It was separated from the other realms by a large wall. A new leader has risen from the shadows. He believed that the outside world was filled with dangerous things. So, he made sure everyone stayed within the walls of the empire. And those who didn't were never heard of again. As others always looked away, a young man called Orlando, always glanced beyond the wall. One day, he's able to see what's behind the wall for himself instead of hearing stories. After about 5 years of toiling, Mercury left her humble roots as a street orphan and started her own garden. Oh god, everything was fine until that part, but turns out we don't get to have good things for a reason. That's because the leader of the most powerful guild in the world PERSONALLY showed up to assassinate this dirt poor MC, (she thought he was here to kill her but he was actually going to ask her to become the new guild leader) but when he tripped on a pile of books, she killed him instead by accident. RIP. and her best friend walked in at that exact moment. Of course, that made her the new leader, but, that guild leader guys was hunting her before... so she's now the *secret* leader of the people who tried to kill her. Things got even more spiced up when 3 ML's got thrown into the pile, and, of course, the emperor also decided to personally add in an arrest warrant for her head (did I mention one of the ML's is the crown prince?)
