She met him with a bored "You're late."
He grinned. "Traffic, monsters, twist of fate."
She shrugged. "That's cute. Try being me-
A loveborn girl who hates to be."

But Percy saw the cracks, the spark,
A quiet glow behind her dark.
And when she smiled-just once, not twice-
The sea went still. The air felt nice.

So let them chase, and gods condemn,
This war of hearts won't start with them.
