When Choi Jiyoon , a struggling writer in present-day South Korea, inherits her late grandmother's crumbling countryside cottage, she plans to sell it and move on. But during renovations, she discovers a hidden compartment beneath the floorboards, containing a stack of unsent love letters dated from the 1940s, all written by a woman named Kang Eunji to a man Jiyoon has never heard of- Lee Jihoon.
