Runaway (REWRITING)

No matter how much she tried to convince herself otherwise, Alex had never been a normal girl. Running from foster homes was never an easy job. Despite this she preferred to be cold and without a home rather than suffer through the never-ending uncomfortable stares produced from her new drunk foster parent.
Of course, every time that she would run away, she would be caught and catapulted straight back into the stupid system where she would have to undergo it all again. This fact would never stop her from trying, regardless of all of the obstacles that are thrown at her along the way.
Problems always seemed to worm their way into the teenager's troubled life. With what seemed like the world weighing down on her leather-clad shoulders, Alex didn't think that things could possibly become more complicated in her life. That was before she was introduced to Liam.
