The sudden supernatural phenomena dubbed "The great slip" occured, which change the whole reality forever.

The Great Slip does not discriminate; Humans, animals, monsters, plants, dinosaurs, alien lifeforms -- anything that is alive can be taken, even the non living things such as objects, vehicles, buildings, even corpses, were all included.

Some who Slipped are fortunate enough to return back to their home universe. Most do not. Some returned but different.

Some sliped in different universes in different timelines: A sky ruled by prehistoric predators, world war era battlefields, medieval periods, futuristic cities, empty worlds where civilization died long.

And worse it includes the sudden appearence of machines -- may comes in different size, shapes, forms. They can change themselves if they wished too. They levitate, hover, or fly at impossible speeds, striking with mindblowing precision.

Attacking any living things, destroying cities, shatter infrastructure, and erase civilizations. While leaving the plants untouched by them.

They are found in every universe touched by the great slip phenomena.

They do not hunt food. They do not defend territory. They do not communicate. They simply kill what's alive and sentient

Civilizations throughout different universes, of different timelines, learned how to fight back these beings, some named them, and the slipped ones learned to adapt.

As anytime and anywhere, from the moment they blink, they found themselves in unfamiliar area.

One individual has unusual situation -- he got reincarnated as a submarine, a submarine with a fogtechnology, a technology which reimains unknowable. It was a goddess' choice to turned him into a submarine, since he don't know what he wanted to become for his nextlife.
